The Story Behind the Design

What started as a simple idea turned into one of our studio’s most intricate creations. Our designer wanted a Celtic-inspired pattern, but in a monochrome, minimalist tone. After numerous drafts, we decided to focus on form and depth instead of color. Using sculptural carving, we created a flowing design where lines dive beneath and emerge above each other across the rug surface. The final result delivered exactly what the designer envisioned — and more. The rug create a genuine WOW effect.

The rug’s design uses two textures — looped and sheared wool — and three pile heights to achieve a sculptural 3D effect. The interplay between matte and sheen areas in a single color creates a subtle yet powerful visual impact.
