Relief carving – a play of light and shadow
One of the distinctive features of this Versace hall rug is its relief carving, repeating the wallpaper’s pattern. Side daylight creates a play of shadows on the textured surface, giving the rug depth, volume, and a truly exclusive look.
Versace Hall Rug with Athena Pallada instead of Medusa
The centerpiece of the rug is a reinterpretation of the traditional Versace symbol. Instead of Medusa, the designers depicted Athena Pallada, the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom and victorious war. This element not only carries deep symbolism but also mirrors the sandblasted glass design of the living room door, making the rug a unique piece of art.
Rug shape and interior unity
An important design solution was the rug’s unique outline: its shape repeats the ceiling medallion, visually uniting the floor and ceiling and bringing the entire living room into a harmonious composition. The decorative carvings of the furniture were also reflected in the rug’s border design, completing the stylistic unity of the space.
