Tufting Materials

Tufting Materials: Yarn, Thread, Fabric, Latex – Professional Supplies for Tufting
Tufting Materials – Yarn, Thread, Fabric, and Latex for Rugs
Tufting materials are the foundation of a high-quality rug. Without the right carpet yarn / thread, durable tufting fabric / primary backing, and reliable latex, it is impossible to create a beautiful and long-lasting product. That is why Carpet Studio offers only time-tested, professional-grade supplies.
Tufting Yarn (Thread) for Rugs
Looking for where to buy tufting yarn (thread)? We provide premium wool carpet yarn, spun and dyed in England. This is the same yarn used to produce our exclusive rugs. It is important to note: yarn intended for clothing should not be used in rug making. Knitting yarn is combed and wears out quickly, while carpet yarn is carded, making it strong, wear-resistant, and color-stable even under heavy use.
We offer around 170 colors, available even in small quantities. Price – 12 EURO/kg when shipped from Ukraine, or 15 EURO/kg when shipped from Belgium. A complete yarn sample set is also available for just 8 EURO.
Tufting Fabric / Primary Backing and Backings
For tufting, we supply professional German tufting fabric / primary backing (8 EURO/m²). Unlike cheap Chinese substitutes, it provides stability and durability. In addition, we offer cotton mesh backing, 4.2 m wide (3.5 EURO/m²), and felt underlay, 4.8 m wide (3 EURO/m²). These materials allow you to create rugs of any shape and size with perfect stability.
Carpet Latex
The final step in rug production is pile fixation. For this, we use rug latex (3.5 EURO/kg), which secures the yarn and makes the rug more durable. Latex prevents unraveling and significantly extends the rug’s lifespan.
