ASUKA RUG
The Asuka rug was designed by our Carpet Studio's designers, inspired by the iconic Japanese anime series Evangelion.
The rug vividly captures the main heroine, Asuka, a teenage girl capable of piloting the giant mecha known as Evangelions (Evas).
The vibrant combination of shades of English wool yarn and intricate carving realistically represents Asuka's red hair and blue eyes, encapsulating the essence of this German-Japanese character.
Though still a child, Asuka presents herself as a mature young woman, a complexity that resonates with many fans. The popularity of this anime character was notably demonstrated when Lai Pin-yu, dressed as Asuka, won the election in the 12th district of Taipei in January 2020.
